MINDING THE GAP WITH A HANDRAIL

Get In. Get Out. Get Anywhere.

Getting in

Get In. Get Anywhere.

Between the ground and the vehicle, there is often a gap with nothing stable to hold onto. People reach for the door, vehicle frame, or a caregiver for support.

Cargility fills that gap. Continuous, weight-bearing support is within reach while a caregiver can lend a helping hand if needed.

Getting out

Get Out. Get Anywhere.

Getting out starts with pushing up from the seat and finding something to hold onto before stepping down. People often reach for the door frame, seat, or interior handle.

Cargility provides a handrail. Grip it as you rise, step out, and transition to the ground with greater independence.
Purpose. Proof. People.

Moving With Purpose

The Cargility Commitment

OUR MISSION AND VISION

Our vision is a world where vehicle mobility is accessible to everyone, regardless of age or ability, so more people can stay independent, connected, and free to go where life takes them.

ACCESSIBLITY & MOBILITY

Accessibility is at the heart of why Cargility exists. We design with people, not just for them, listening to people with disabilities, older adults, caregivers, accessibility advocates, and mobility professionals to create solutions shaped by real experiences and real needs.

POSITIVE VIBES ONLY

We believe progress starts with possibility. We are committed to building a company that leads with optimism, celebrates every step forward, supports the communities around us, and focuses on what people can do and where they want to go.

SPEAK FOR THE TREES

Our commitment to mobility extends to how Cargility is made and delivered. We are working to reduce unnecessary packaging, prioritize recyclable and responsibly sourced materials, and design packaging that protects the product without creating excess waste.

Why We Created Cargility

Cargility was created from a personal family experience and has grown into a mission to help millions of people move with greater confidence and independence. Every step of Cargility has been shaped by real people, real experiences, and a community that believes everyone deserves greater independence. We understand that getting into and out of a vehicle can change the way people live, travel, and stay connected. That's why we're creating more than a mobility solution we're building a community dedicated to helping people move with greater confidence, independence, and dignity.

For my Grandma

There has to be a better way for someone with stability challenges to access a vehicle. Cargility began with a moment that changed everything. When our founder, Meera, saw her grandmother fall while exiting the family car, the injury healed, but the fear did not. That fear led to avoided travel, increased isolation, and a loss of independence. It was a moment that could have been prevented and one that inspired the need for a better solution. Through sharing our stories, we learned we weren’t alone. Many seniors, individuals with ambulatory or stability challenges, and people recovering from injury face the same challenge, with few solutions designed to address it. So we created a solution with Cargility.

What Drives Us

Everyone deserves the freedom to move with independence, dignity, and confidence. Caregivers should be able to support the people they care for without fear of injury. More seniors are choosing to age in place and depend on vehicles for daily life. Recovering from an injury can turn something as simple as getting in and out of a car into a daunting, painful, and carefully planned effort. For people with stability challenges, this remains one of the most overlooked and risky moments of the day. The fear of falling is real, and the physical strain on family and professional caregivers is constant. Many people rely on makeshift solutions or the physical strength of a caregiver simply to move in or out of a vehicle. People with stability challenges and the caregivers who support them need a better solution that enables safe, secure, and confident mobility. We knew there had to be a better way. Safe mobility should be designed, not improvised, so we built a novel solution for real daily moments that help people move with confidence.

THE NEED

Caregivers Who Give

Helping the Helpers

Caregiving is an act of love, but it can take a physical toll. ➜ Routine vehicle transfers often require lifting, supporting, and balancing another person, placing significant strain on a caregiver's back, shoulders, and joints while increasing concern about falls. ➜ More than 53 million Americans care for a loved one, often helping them navigate everyday moments like getting in and out of a vehicle. ➜ Transportation is caregiving. Nearly 1 in 5 U.S. adults is a family caregiver, and 98% of caregivers providing transportation are the ones driving loved ones to medical appointments, errands, and everyday activities.
